"Creepy Story Time" (inspired by "Halloween" and the "Creepy" cover art of Jack Davis
This is a print of my original painting depicting 1978 era Director John Carpenter reading his script for a brand new film he wants to make to some familiar friends. This was created for the SugarMynt Gallery's celebration of the 10th anniversary of their Halloween inspired "Haddonfield" shows.
The inspiration was a cover painting the legendary Jack Davis did for the first issue of "Creepy" magazine in which the character Uncle Creepy is reading to some of his monster friends. I had to pick and choose which "Halloween" characters from both in front and behind the camera I wanted in the piece so as to match the original composition. Can you name them all?
